Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Investors preferred not to keep shares before the longer weekend – on Tuesday there is no session in Poland – and were selling the stock despite good macro data and positive quarterly results published by companies.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Investors preferred not to keep shares before the longer weekend – on Tuesday there is no session in Poland – and were selling the stock despite good macro data and positive quarterly results published by companies.

 

The current account data published by the National Bank of Poland was positive. Quarterly results published by Poland’s biggest companies were very good. However, indices on the Warsaw Stock Exchanger kept falling after a good opening. The WIG20 index ended at 2,917.38 points, or 2.91 percent down. Western European markets also decreased prior to the opening on the Wall Street. The U.S. market opened down.

 

Grupa Lotos fuel company was pacing advances at the beginning. The company presented very good quarterly results. However, it ended 1.9 percent down. BZ WBK bank, which was adding till 2 p.m. closed 6.2 percent down.
