Irish SWS eyes Lodz

SWS group, one of Ireland’s five biggest BPO companies, considers to launch its center in Lodz. It wants to employ 370 people.

On its website, the city of Lodz boasts that Irish SWS BPO, a mid-sized BPO company, plans investment there. “I don’t comment”, Marek Michalik, Lodz deputy president says.

According to “PB” unofficial sources, the Irishmen consider to launch financial and accounting center in Lodz, the Czech Republic or Hungary. The company would like to launch it as early as this year and employ 370 people in 2010.

“The company is waiting for an incentive”, a person who knows the project reveals. SWS has chances for a subsidy. According to the newest criteria adopted in Poland, the company may get at least 63 points with 51 points being enough to get an incentive.
