Medical dummies, diagnostic equipment for car schools, kitchen equipment for schools for future cooks – the Ministry of Education launches more and more tenders financed from EU funds. There are three big IT tenders going on worth over PLN 300m (EUR 77.3m). The Ministry is also buying buses to transport kids (from government’s funds, worth at least PLN 50m), and repeats the failed tender to buy computers for ministry officials. All these tenders are made in a hurry, the procurements are limited and the deadlines are the shortest possible ones.
The Ministry informs potential winners that part of the deliveries must be made till June 2007. Companies interested in the tenders are happy that after six month break the Ministry of Education has finally started to do something but on the other hand they point out serious mistakes which may make it difficult to conclude the proceedings and implement the projects.
