New records hit on the WSE while the volume of trade grows

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Stock indices rose to new records, the volume of trade was high. 

Main indices exceeded new psychological barriers. WIG20 exceeded the 3,500 level by 49.33 points after it gained 1.9 percent today for the highest increase among all indices. WIG gained 1.6 percent, exceeded the level of 55,000 points by 431.48 points. Shares worth PLN 2.21 billion changed hands, including PLN 1.28 billion generated by blue chips.  

Pekao bank attracted most trade thanks to one transaction when 475,000 shares changed hands worth PLN 239.4m. Only two blue chips ended down. BZ WBK bank fell 2.6 percent after it had risen to its all-time record on Wednesday. PKO BP dropped 0.8 percent to PLN 49.1 after it had gained a record of PLN 49.5 yesterday. TP telecom paced the advances today. The telecom rebounded after two days of losses. The stock gained 4.8 percent to PLN 26.71.
