Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The company is developing its multi-brand network, car rental services and is looking for a partner for its IT subsidiary.
Polska Grupa Dilerow (the Polish Dealer’s Group, PGD) launched its 18th shop in Poland yesterday. The new shop will sell the cars of the following brands: Fiat, Nissan and Suzuki. It is located next to PGD’s other shop offering the Ford cars.
“Next year, we will stop investment projects and launch them again in 2008. We plan to build two shops in Warsaw and two in Krakow. We may also buy one or two shops”, Adam Pietkiewicz, PGD CEO and co-owner.
In the years 2006-2008, the company will have spent PLN 60m. So far it has invested PLN 40m. The projects will let it double sales which last year amounted to PLN 390m. This year, they will reach PLN 500m. The company plans to sell 15,000 cars in 2009. In 2005, it sold 5,500 cars. PGD’s market share on the market of new cars will grow from 1.8 to 3 percent then.
“The multi-brand car shops will be more and more popular in Poland. PGD which today is the first one to do it, may have rivals in the future”, Wojciech Drzewiecki, Samar CEO commented.
PGD owners are also looking for a partner for its IT company Formoco. The firm is the author and owner of the software to manage sales in the dealer’s network.
“So far, only PGD has used the software. Now we think that jointly with a big player we could sell the product. Because of its high quality we hope to export it to Germany and the UK”, Adam Pietkiewicz said.
PGD’s owners have also Express, a company offering car rental. It has over 3,000 cars today.
“This is a very good and stabile business generating 40 percent of our margins. That’s why we plan to increase the number of cars by 25 percent every year. We want to offer rental services in the Czech Republic and Slovakia”, Adam Pietkiewicz added.
