The WIG20 index dropped 0.74 percent at 3,249.64 points. MIDWIG lost only 0.01 percent while WIRR gained 0.9 percent. WIG-Paliwa, the index of fuel companies and WIG-Telecomunikacja, the index of telecoms were the worst performers due to diving stock of PKN Orlen fuel giant and telecoms: TP and Netia. PKN Orlen dropped for the third consecutive session despite growing oil prices. Shareholders are selling the stock before Thursday meeting of the supervisory board which may change the management. PKN Orlen lost 2.8 percent to PLN 43.82. BPH was the worst performer with 3.2 percent decrease. On Thursday, BPH will be removed from CECE, the index of Central European companies made by the Vienna stock exchange. One stock cost PLN 900, or 17 percent less than on February 1st when it cost PLN 1,088.
Prokom IT company was the best performer with 2.6
percent increase to PLN 148.8. PGNiG gas monopoly rose 1.8 percent.
