Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – PKN Orlen, Poland’s fuel giant, is working over the integration of its assets with those belonging to Czech Unipetrol, which it had acquired. ‘The first variant provides for segment management consisting in getting control over Unipetrol subsidies by Orlen’s management which deals with the same companies in Poland. But merging similar assets, founding new companies and then their sale in the Polish or Czech stock market is possible, too’, Cezary Smorszczewski, PKN Orlen Deputy CEO said.
These operations could concern lubricating oil market, according to him. These are the following companies: Paramo (Czech), Orlen Oil (Poland) and refineries in Poland. The management in both companies will change. ‘We have surveyed management in the companies of Orlen and Unipetrol groups and we want them to be less political’, Cezary Smorszczewski stressed. He also sees possible synergies effects in transportation units: Unipetrol Doprawa and Orlen Transport Plock and Orlen Transport Krakow.Poland/Enterprises/Gas and Oil
