PKN Orlen’s Mazeikiu refinery in Lithuania launches operations on the retail market. It has six gas stations under Orlen Lietuva brand transformed from Mazeikiu network of 34 stations.
“Till the year 2012, we want to have 230 gas stations in Lithuania and Latvia. This should let us get 20 percent of the combined markets. The investment will be worth nearly EUR 200m”, Wojciech Heydel, PKN Orlen deputy CEO responsible for sales said.
Next year, PKN Orlen is going to acquire stations and prepare building of new ones.
In Lithuania, PKN Orlen will focus on the premium market. The company is not going to launch operations in Eastland at present. It is interested in Ukraine but so far has net received any interesting acquisition offers.
