Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Only 65 percent of the Poles use banking services, 45 percent have an account, and every third Polish citizen uses a banking card, a research ordered by BA CA shows. All those services are much more popular in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia and Slovenia. In the latter, 98 percent of the citizens use financial institutions.
Banks’ services are less popular in Bulgaria, Bosnia, Romania and Russia. Poles lead in the ranking of the most indebted societies. 15 percent of the Poles had a debt last year, the second rank after Slovenia. Polish citizens do not save money, only 9 percent of them put some money aside. Only in Serbia and Montenegro fewer people saved money.
