Poland looks very modestly in comparison to other regions. In the whole Europe, USD 140 billion (EUR 104.8 billion) was spent, while in the USA USD 360 billion. ‘Polish companies must present themselves well to lure more money because they have interesting ideas’, Waldemar Sielski, chairman of MCI, a venture capital fund. The risk of such investments, especially seed investments, is high. ‘Since the year 2000, we have invested PLN 6 m (EUR 1.5 m). Today our assets are worth PLN 13 m. But we can hardly compare to anybody as all our rivals have ceased to exist’, Rafal Styczeń, Internet Investment Fund CEO said.

Tomasz Czechowicz, MCI CEO believed that the highest return will be achieved in internet B2C internet services, trade in internet or mobile telecommunication, while fixed telecommunication or computer hardware and software are no longer that profitable.
