Poland/Stock exchange/Fees
Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – GPW, Polish stock exchange, is going to lower stock fees by 30 percent in average. The price falls will be conducted till the end of December. The management of GPW stressed that the timing of the decision is not accidental. They believe that the IPO of PKO BP bank will attract new investors to stay on the Polish market for a longer time. The stock exchange hopes that brokerages will follow suit and lower their fees, too. Since the year 2000, stock fees have shed over 43 percent.
