Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The WIG20 index lost 0.95 percent to 1830.48 on Thursday, which may be the beginning of further losses on the Polish stock exchange GPW. First, there were growths on the market, advances led mainly by TPSA telecom and KGHM copper producer. PKN Orlen fuel giant was weak. Its shares worth PLN 100 million changed hands, a sign that Kulczyk Holding may be selling them. Banks were falling, with BACA as the only exception after the bank published good quarter results (shares gained 4 percent).
Among smaller companies, Ferrum, Mennica or Irena were among the best performers after they published positive quarterly results. Those companies which disappointed with their results, including Elektrobudowa, Jutrzenka or Projprzem led falls.
