Poland: LOT postpones decision on its long-haul planes

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – On August 2nd, the supervisory board of LOT, Poland’s flag carrier was to decide on new fleet. “I do not know why the meeting was not set. I have asked the chairman for another date but I haven’t received any answer as yet”, Jerzy Adamski, the secretary of the board said. The management has recommended to choose the offer of U.S. Boeing over Airbus.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – On August 2nd, the supervisory board of LOT, Poland’s flag carrier was to decide on new fleet. “I do not know why the meeting was not set. I have asked the chairman for another date but I haven’t received any answer as yet”, Jerzy Adamski, the secretary of the board said. The management has recommended to choose the offer of U.S. Boeing over Airbus. The strategic decision will be made only if three out of four representatives of the Ministry of Treasury approve of it and at least two out of three members from the bankruptcy office of SairGroup.

The meeting was originally scheduled for July 12th, then 19th and then August 2nd. The value of the order amounts to USD 500m (EUR 414.8m).
