Poland: New records set on the Polish stock exchange

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – WIG, the general index of the Polish stock exchange improved its all time record to 26,152.39 points and WIG20 index rose to its new height of 1922.19 points. This is just the beginning of Christmas rises. One may expect that the level of 1950 points will be reached before investors start selling their shares.

BPB bank and Agora media group were leaders with PKN Orlen fuel giant and KGHM copper producer following closely. TPSA telecom was eagerly bought in the afternoon, shares worth PLN 160 million (EUR 38.4 million) changed hands. TVN tv station was growing for the eight consecutive day, i.e. from the moment it was listed. Moody’s Investors Services increased its ratings for the company.
