Polsat to decide

In September media baron Zygmunt Solorz, owner of the Polsat TV channel could well decide to look for an investor or put the holding on the stock market. However it is not the best time — profits last year were well down as they were also at state TV provider TVP. Zygmunt Solorz is likely to spend USD200m on development this year, although some projects will be financed from outside cash which is a major change in policy for the company. The holding is now being transformed with the financial services companies Polisa Życie, Invest-Bank and Polsat pension fund being separated from the media side of the business. The Polsat group includes television interests in many countries.
