The phoenix that rose from the ashes of the bankrupt Szczecin shipyard, the Stocznia Szczecinska Nowa (SSN), is seeking business. Within the next two weeks it will be sign new contracts. Contracts with the now bankrupt company are no longer valid and companies like Odfjell and its partner Ceres Hellenic Shipping pulled out of a deal worth USD440m for the construction of eight chemical tankers. The government is now expected to guarantee production and if so bank PKO BP may credit three or four ships.
