The Huta Łaziska steelworks has filed a complaint against the Upper Silesian Energy Concern, Górnośląski Zakład Elektroenergetyczny (GZE), to the energy watchdog Urząd Regulacji Energetyki.
The steelworks is questioning the price of the electricity supplied to it whilst the GZE does not want to supply any more electricity until overdue payments are received.
The current has now been turned back on awaiting a decision from the regulator. GZE considers to be risking PLN200,000 per day but recognises that it must supply power under current law until a ruling is made.
