Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The Polish shipyard will get new contracts from Ray Car Carriers (RCC) worth USD 250-300m.
Stocznia Gdynia (SG) is going to build five car carriers for RCC owned by Rami Ungar.
“We cannot reveal the value of the contracts”, Krzysztof Grabowski, SG spokesman said.
Last year, one car carrier cost USD 50-60m, so the contract may be worth USD 250-300m.
The Israeli ship company is the potential investor for the shipyard. Last year, rumors spread that the company would give up investing in Poland after RCC ordered 8 car carriers in Croatia. The new orders, however, may be a sign that the Israeli company will still cooperate with the Polish shipyard.
