Donbas (ISD) has been the owner of Huta Czestochowa steel plant since 2005. The company plans further acquisitions.

Donbas is also interested in Stocznia Gdanska shipyard.

The acquisition of Huta Czestochowa let ISD increase flat steel sales from 40,000 to 60,000 tons monthly. Since 2006 till 2007, the steel plant sent 125,000 tons of flat steel worth USD 120m. Next year, ISD will invest over PLN 300m (70.8m) to increase capacity. ISD has invested in Poland USD 800m.
