Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – According to the Ministry of Finance, in April, PLN 9.5 billion (EUR 2.3 billion) was paid to the budget in indirect taxes, including PLN 6.3 billion in VAT and PLN 3.2 billion in excise duty. This amount is by PLN 2.4 billion higher than in March. In the first four months of this year, the budget gained total of PLN 37.4 billion from indirect taxes, or 32 percent of the sum planned for the whole year (PLN 117 billion). Experts warn that the plans may not be met.

As far as CIT and PIT are concerned, there are no reasons to worry. After four months, CIT brought PLN 6 billion, or 41 percent of this year’s plan, and PIT PLN 6.9 billion, or 29.5 percent of the plan.
