ZUS improves IT
Aleksandra Wiktorow, the head of social security organisation ZUS has claimed that national insurance accounts have come to life thanks to the use of a new IBM platform.
The old computer system will be in use until the end of the year.
The new system will find mistakes that the old one missed. Some 800,000 people who were identified by the pension funds were 'discovered' that did not exist in the ZUS records.
ZUS owes the pension funds PLN4bn according to the calculations of Aleksandra Wiktorow. Some of this money may even be paid back this year.
