Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – After a thrilling session, the indices ended up with KGHM copper producer pacing advances.

WIG20 started with rises but then foreign investors turned to Western European markets where indices hit records. However, before midday, buyers got more active. KGHM shares were the favorite ones due to high copper prices. KGHM shares constitute 18.75 percent of the portfolio of the blue chip index. PKO BP bank was the other company pacing advances. In the afternoon bad US GDP data shocked investors, WIG20 fell by 50 points. It managed to rebound, however and the index ended 0.5 percent up. In the last week, the index grew 0.96 percent.

KGHM ended 3 percent up at PLN 83.5. PKO BP rose 2.16 percent to PLN 33.1. Lotos fuel company was the worst performer with 3.3 percent loss. CAIB Securities lowered its recommendation to “sell” from “keep” yesterday. Prokom and Bioton fell over 2 percent each.
