Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The second attempt for an IPO – this is the Christmas surprise for stock investors prepared by the owner of Cinema City chain.

Cinema City International (CCI), the operator of cinemas, plans an IPO this year, “PB” has learnt unofficially. This is going to be the second attempt of the company to be listed in Warsaw. The company tried to sell its shares two years ago – but it failed. Now, CA IB Securities will offer the shares. In June, Mooky Gredinger, CCI CEO, said that the company was still thinking about the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

“Cinema City management is currently analyzing the situation. The IPO is possible this year”, he said.

According to “PB” sources, the company is presenting and premarketing the issue among funds and financial investors.

“CCI has said before it would try to enter the Warsaw exchange once more. The financial unit keeps working on the process”, Rafal Rybski, Cinema City Poland operational director said.

“No comment”, Tomasz Bardzilowski, CA IB Securities CEO said.

Cinema City International operates in five countries, including Israel (20 multiplexes), Poland (18), Hungary (13), the Czech Republic (3). The company initially said it would build 25 multiplexes in Poland.

“There is demand for such cinemas and I believe we will soon exceed this number”, the company’s representative said in June.
