Compaq to assemble in Szczecin

Compaq has announced that it is to assemble computers in the Szczecin PCF factory which formerly was used by the German Vobis. Two models will be produced for use by small businesses. This is the first time a branded computer name has produced in this country. The deal is worth USD240,000 for PCF, or to put it another way, around USD8 per piece produced.
