Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Companies should get ready to apply for EU funds for investments in May.

On March 10th, “PB” informed that due to red tape, EUR 1.4bn of EU funds provided to support investments in the years 2007-13, are frozen. The Ministry of Regional Development’s officials decided to change it.

“Proceedings are about to be launched. At the end of March and beginning of April, all necessary documents will be available. Entrepreneurs will be able to submit their applications in the middle of May. They have EUR 400m, one third of all available sources”, Jaroslaw Pawlowski, deputy Minister of Regional Development said.

Experts approve of the news.

“Specific deadline is good news. The companies have waited for it for a long time. If the officials keep to their promises, entrepreneurs will have more than a month to prepare their applications”, Ewa Fedor, KPP expert commented.

“This is good news. We have been waiting over 12 months to learn when applications could be submitted”, Magdalena Burnat-Mikosz from Accreo added.
