Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – FVH would like to acquire Stocznia Gdanska. The Italian company would like to conduct due diligence and submit its offer.
ARP, the state-owned agency for industrial development and Stocznia Gdanska Holding, the company founded by the shipyard employees were expected to buy it. The companies submitted their offers several weeks ago. They have rivals, however.
“Italian FVH has sent a letter where it says it would like to conduct due diligence in the company”, one of Stocznia Gdanska employees said.
FVH would submit its price offer afterwards. The Italian company deals on the shipping market and transports energy commodities.
Rami Ungar, an Israeli businessman, has offered several times more than ARP and the employees, which want to pay PLN 13-16m (EUR 3.2-3.9m). Stocznia Gdynia, the owner of Stocznia Gdanska, evaluates the company ad PLN 80m. ARP, however, may raise its offer.
