Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The Warsaw construction company wants to launch operations in new sectors and generate PLN 400m (EUR 115.9m) of sales this year.

Karmar, a company owned by French Bouygues Construction and specializing in general works, increases the scope of its operations.

“We will continue to focus on general construction works. So far, over 60 percent of our portfolio consisted of homebuilding orders. We want to change it and intensify operations in other sectors of the construction market”, Wlodzimierz Bogiel, Karmar CEO said.

The company is building 14 objects with 430,000 square meters of capacity. The value of these contracts exceeds PLN 1bn. Karmar estimates that its share of the Warsaw homebuilding market amounts to 10-12 percent.

Karmar had planned a debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange but Bouygues Construction provided the required capital.

In 2007, Karmar had nearly PLN 300m of sales. This year, it plans to increase sales to PLN 400m.
