LPP clothes distributor wants to increase sales to PLN 1 billion this year

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The company is planning to launch 58 new shops till the end of the year. 

This is going to be a busy year for LPP, the clothes distributor from Gdansk. In 2006, it had PLN 42m (EUR 10.8m) of net income against PLN 820m of sales. This year, sales should grow to PLN 1 billion. Foreign sales should generate 50 percent, up from 20 percent of sales. LPP is going to launch 58 new shops in Poland and abroad, mainly in the Czech Republic and Russia. Today, LPP has 249 shops and 119,000 square meters of surface, including 86 abroad (Russia, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia and Eastland). Till the end of this year, their number should grow to 307 shops and 153,000 square meters of surface, or 30 percent more than today. The cost of 1 square meter of surface amounts to PLN 2,500. 

Will the PLN 1 billion dream come true?

“This is an optimistic plan. I assume that LPP will have PLN 940m of sales. The net income may be bigger than the management forecast in the beginning of 2006 and exceed PLN 70m”, Hanna Kedziora, PKO BP analyst estimated.

Yesterday, the stock ended at PLN 775, or 0,7 percent up.
