Citizens’ Platform (PO), the opposition party, presented in the parliament a package of 9 laws which should stop the biggest barriers in founding and running business in Poland.
“Economic growth is not something given for ever. That’s why we should already free the market from the laws limiting it”, Bogdan Zdrojewski, the head of PO parliamentary club said.
The law providing for economic freedom is central to the package.
“We care mainly to really limit the controls in companies. The law cannot be avoided, and companies cannot be controlled by several entities at the same time. We also propose to implement binding interpretations to all economic laws. We want to protect self-employment, make life of micro-companies easier and simplify founding companies. We support incentives to employ graduates and unemployed, and making it possible for debtors to go bankrupt”, Adam Szejnfeld enumerates the most important goals of his package.
It provides for limiting the time of control by CBA agency to 1 month, settlement of Polish companies in euro, limits in arrest and limiting the responsibility of companies.
Initial evaluations of the package are very positive, contrary to the opinions concerning the government “Kluska package”.
“In our opinion, the implementation of these provisions might finally lead to really making it easier to run companies in Poland”, Henryka Bochniarz, PKPP Lewiatan president said.
“PO package includes our expectations. Business must have all the barriers taken away”, Arkadiusz Protas, Business Centre Club spokesman said.
Business encourages to merge the packages of Szejnfeld and Kluska and start works over them over political differences. Next week, the bills will be officially submitted to the parliament.
