Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The first day of the week saw another decrease of the indices on the Polish stock exchange GPW. After the WIG index set a historical record on November 2nd, the index has fallen 2.4 percent. WIG20 is doing even worse. On Monday, it dropped 0.83 percent under the psychological level of 1800 points to 1795.69 points.
KGHM copper producer rose just a little but nearly 10 times fewer shares changed hands in comparison with Friday when the stock lost 9 percent. Softbank IT company was very strong after the company published good third quarter results. Softbank had PLN 12.3 million (EUR 2.9 million) of operating income compared with PLN 6.3 million of loss in the same period of last year. The stock jumped 4.2 percent.
Beef-San was the best performer on the GPW after it turned out the company will sell land and buildings in Sanok worth PLN 8.05 million. Ster-Projekt IT company signed a two-year contract with NATO worth EUR 3 million, and investors welcomed the news increasing the share price by 9 percent. Wawel sweet producer was strong because one of the supervisory board members kept buying the stock of the company, which last week had presented good quarterly results.
Tras-Tych window producer lost 11 percent. Increased VAT caused the sales of the company fell by over 50 percent, and the company had net loss of PLN 1.6 million.
