Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Polbank EFG, the Polish unit of Greek EFG Eurobank, builds its network very quickly.

The company plans to increase its network to 50 outlets this year and employ up to 500 people.

“We have launched operations with four banks in Warsaw. Till mid-March, we will have 15 of them in Poland’s biggest cities. We will open banks in all towns with demand for simple banking products. We also serve our clients via call center and will soon implement on-line services”, Kazimierz Stanczak, EFG Eurobank general director said.

The bank has only several products in its offer, including deposits, credits up to PLN 250,000 or a credit card. Within several months, it will offer mortgage loans, too.

As far as corporate clients are concerned, the company is interested in small companies.

“I mean those which have simplified accounting. We offer a quick company credit with no need for guarantees”, Kazimierz Stanczak added.

The bank is not interested in big companies. It is also not going to offer leasing or factoring services. The general director refused to say when the bank will break-even.

“I think it will be in several years but it depends on the clients’ growth”, Kazimierz Stanczak said.
