Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Pollena Ewa, Poland’s listed cosmetics producer, had PLN 330,000 (EUR 80,190) of net income in the first quarter, its first income since 2001. The management assures that this is the beginning of stable trend. ‘I cannot promise net income of, let’s say, PLN 2 m. I will be happy if PLN 500,000 is achieved or even if we break-even’, Przemyslaw Lis-Markiewicz, Pollena Ewa CEO said.

The company analyses costs and looks for ways to sell its products. ‘We closely co-operate with bandage producer from Torun (TZMO), our majority investor. We are currently transferring our sales activities to them’, Przemyslaw Lis-Markiewicz said. TZMO’s sales network in Europe is well developed. Pollena Ewa will follow suit. ‘Within five years our two brands – Eva and Kanion – are to become European products sold not only in the East but also in the West. These are our priorities’, Pollena Ewa CEO said.
