Rises are to continue on the Polish stock exchange

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – This week, indices have only noted gains. Today they reached new records. WIG20 added 0.88 percent and ended at 2,183.75, a level recently reached in April 2000. It needs 15 percent rise and will equal to its all-time record of 2,510.5 reached on March 10th 2000. WIG, the general index, crossed the psychological barrier of 30,000 points by 239.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – This week, indices have only noted gains. Today they reached new records. WIG20 added 0.88 percent and ended at 2,183.75, a level recently reached in April 2000. It needs 15 percent rise and will equal to its all-time record of 2,510.5 reached on March 10th 2000. WIG, the general index, crossed the psychological barrier of 30,000 points by 239.88 points achieving its all-time record. Shares of blue chips worth PLN 543m (EUR 132.9m) changed hands, 13 percent more than yesterday.

TPSA telecom was the best performer. After it gained 1.3 percent on Wednesday, it jumped 3.6 percent today. Shares worth PLN 150m changed hands. PKN Orlen fuel giant and Agora rose each by 3 percent. KGHM copper producer on the other hand fell 0.8 percent while shares worth PLN 70m changed hands. Prokom and Computerland IT companies did not rise, either while rival Softbank added. Since the middle of May when it was very cheap, the company has rebounded 58 percent. It has been adding for the last eleven days excluding Wednesday.
