Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Potential investors for Gdynia, Gdansk and Szczecin shipyards should deliver repairing plans for the companies within several days.

Yesterday, a meeting was held at the ministry of the treasury, with trade unions of Gdynia and Szczecin shipyards.

“Investors should present restructuring programs next week. Privatization contracts should be signed on July 15th at the latest”, one of the people taking part in the meeting said.

Investors wanted to have time till Autumn but Brussels won’t agree.

ISD Polska, a subsidiary of Ukrainian Donbas has chances to keep the deadline. It is already negotiating with the ministry to acquire Gdynia shipyard. But this may be hindered by Gdansk trade unions. They are going to protest tomorrow against it. Donbas is already investor of Gdansk. The company fears that part of their plant may be closed when the company acquires Gdynia as well.

Stocznia Szczecinska Nowa, the shipyard from Szczecin, has more potential investors, including Mostostal Chojnice, Ulstein Verft and Newag.
