Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The Ministry of Treasure received six binding offers to buy Elektrownia Kozienice power plant. All companies from the short list submitted their offers: CEZ of the Czech Republic, the Spanish Endesa Europa, Polish Enea, Spanish Iberdrola, German PCC and Vattenfall of Sweden.
According to Jacek Grabarczuk, the privatisation director in the Ministry of Treasure, the advisor will this week issue its recommendation. Kozienice had PLN 25.6m (EUR 6.5m) of net income in the first half of the year against PLN 43.0m a year earlier. Sales amounted to PLN 880.0m against PLN 869.4m in 2003.
