Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The only offer submitted by a mysterious investor is not good enough for the bankruptcy officer. A new tender will be announced in August.

The tender announced late 2006 to buy, among others, the rights to produce and sell terrain cars Honker was cancelled.

“Intrall Polska filed a suit against the conditions of the tender because foreign companies were excluded”, Leszek Liszcz, the bankruptcy officer of the former plants of Daewoo Motor Polska in Lublin said.

Intrall produces Honker cars in this plant using the equipment leased from the bankruptcy officer.

Only companies with over 51 percent of Polish capital were allowed to submit their offers in the tender. Intrall is 100 percent foreign company with mainly Russian capital. It founded a company with a Polish firm but the plan failed.

“This is discrimination. We have been producing Honker cars for three years now delivering them to the army. The Ministry of Defense (probably the ministry wanted to exclude foreigners from the tender) had no objections towards us”, Stanislaw Szelestow, Intrall Polska CEO stressed.

The bankruptcy officer believes that Intrall is not credible because it had filed a suit to go bankrupt.

The tender was cancelled because the only offer submitted was not good enough. The bankruptcy officer refused to give the name of the potential buyer of Honker. He added, that – to everybody’s surprise – neither Bumar nor AMZ Kutno submitted their offers. Bumar exported Honker cars for the Polish army in Iraq several years ago. AMZ Kutno produces parts of Honker vehicles.

“A new tender will be announced before the end of August. We will wait for offers till October. I would like to end the tender this year”, Leszek Liszcz said.

Intrall and AMZ Kutno would like to take part in the tender.
