Vivendi believes that the conditions to withdraw Elektrim from the WSE have not been met. On Wednesday, the WSE authorities decided that it should happen on January 21st. Vivendi believes that Elektrim management wants the company to be delisted in order to avoid the obligation to inform about its actvities.
“This is against minority shareholders, including Vivendi”, Aleksander Kobecki, Vivendi media advisor said.
WSE authorities believe there are no reasons to change their decision.
The fact that Vivendi stopped to be Elektrim’s second largest shareholder, was disapproved not only by small investors who believed in what the French giant said before (i.e. that it would not withdraw) but also by Polish financial supervision authority (KNF).
“We asked Vivendi to explain it. Last year the
company declared it would not answer the tender call”, Lukasz Dajnowicz from KNF
said.
