The WIG20 index was quickly losing over 2 percent. Investors kept selling their stock till the closing bell. The 20 share blue chips index ended 2.22 percent down at 2,837.53 points despite rebounds on foreign markets caused by quite good results published by several other US companies, appreciating dollar and lower oil prices.
No blue chips ended up today. Bioton insulin producer resisted the downward trend for the longest time but it finally ended down. Polnord construction company lost over 6 percent on the news that Ryszard Krauze was selling his stake.
The volume of trade rose slightly to PLN 1.1bn.
