Another day of stock records

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The WIG20 index ended at 2,829.38. Within two sessions, the index grew 135 points, a very good result. Also the other indices hit their all-time records.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The WIG20 index ended at 2,829.38. Within two sessions, the index grew 135 points, a very good result. Also the other indices hit their all-time records.

Shares of blue chips worth PLN 1.25 billion (EUR 325.1m) changed hands and PLN 1.64 billion of all shares changed hands, the fourth highest result in history of the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Higher volume of trade was noted only on the IPO of PKO BP or PGNiG.

KGHM copper producer jumped 6.4 percent, TP telecom added 3.7 percent. PKO BP bank and PKN Orlen fuel giant also noted high rises. Swissmed healthcare company was the best performer on Wednesday, shares jumped 13 percent after TU Allianz Polska insurance company had increased its stake from 4.9 to 5.01 percent. The following companies rose significantly: Strzelec, Energoaparatura and Boryszew.
