On Monday, Mirbud construction company had its debut. The stock jumped 148 percent to PLN 2.48 on the first day. Yesterday, Anti was listed for the first time. The stock ended 15 percent up at PLN 4.14 but was trading at PLN 6.5 during the day.
"There were 33 companies listed this year on the regular market, including
three foreign ones and 61 companies appeared on the New Connect this year. As
far as the number of IPOs is concerned, 2008 was a weak year but anyway Poland
was the first in the ranking in Europe", Ludwik Sobolewski, WSE CEO said.
