Merger being built
A merger between construction firms Pia Piasecki from Kielce and Mostostal Zabrze from Silesia is looking all the more possible. One of the tallest hurdles to get over was the attempt by the Zabrze based company to obtain the Katowice based engineering firm PRInz. The Swedish NCC was struggling with Mostostal Zabrze for control of the company but now it would appear that the Scandinavians are prepared to sell their stake in the firm. Andrzej Piasecki, MD of Pia Piasecki, said he expected an announcement on the merger next week. The two parties have been talking for several weeks now. The merger was originally expected giving shares in both companies equal value although now it is expected that one share in Mostostal Zabrze will be worth 1.2 of Pia Piasecki.
