Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The Czech clothes brand was to be available in multibrand shops in Poland. However, the company will build its own network.

The Polish unit of the Czech clothes producer Exe is going to build 70 shops within five years. Today, it has 10 outlets and sells its products in multibrand shops.

“Initially, the plans in Poland provided for operating in multibrand shops. However, it turned out that to earn money and to be competitive you need your own network”, Jakub Debowski responsible for Exe in Poland said.

The Czechs have invested PLN 0.5m (EUR 0.13m) in Poland so far.

“This year, we plan to launch 20 shops. We will spend EUR 1m for investment”, Jakub Debowski said.

“The sum is enough to build the planned number of shops. If they manage to build a network, they may change the Polish market. Although there is not much space for new brands, new companies with new products keep appearing and taking the place of the other brands”, Jerzy Garczynski, deputy CEO of the Polish Clothes and Textiles Chamber.
