Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – International telecom concern GTS Central Europe and Netia are competing to purchase Energis Polska, one of the largest providers of teleservices for business in Poland. According to analysts, the company is well managed, has a clear development strategy and its takeover will enable synergy in many areas.

According to Puls Biznesu, GTS is more likely to win. In December the company took over another telecom company operating on the Czech market for EUR 60 million, while the company's this year’s revenues are prospected at EUR 220 million. The possible acquisition would strengthen GTS’s position on the market – it would become one of the biggest alternative telecoms with sales over PLN 400 million (EUR 98.4 million). For Netia the takeover of Energis by GTS means the weakening of its position. The joined competitors will be a serious threat in the most attractive segment of the fixed telephone line market.
