Krosno glass to invest
The Krosno glass factory has announced that it intends to increase investments in order to increase production. Around PLN150m has been earmarked for investments up to 2005. This year around PLN15m will be spent although it could be increased as Krosno intends to purchase the Blowex works in Tarnów. The company has made an offer to the privatisation agency and has stated that it will spend 'tens of millions of PLN' in investments. Currently exports make up more than 65 percent of the sales turnover of Krosno and the company hopes to increase this. The company from 1 March started to sell directly to clients abroad, previously it had gone through export house Minex. The company has already opened a representative office in London and intends to do the same in other Western European capitals. It also has an office in Moscow despite difficulties in that market.
