Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Polish production of bicycles can rose by 200 thousand if UE introduces antidumping duty. Such a decision can make UE commitee - COREPER. It will influence bicycles and part for them made in China and Vietnam.
According to plan, duties should rose from 30,6 up to 48,5 per cent in case of Cina and from 16,1 to 34,5 per cent in case of Vietnam. This charges should be valid to 2010. In opinion of Polish producers such as Kross from Przasnysz, it will create a demand for Polish bicycles. On the other hand, for international companies selling in Poland, it also could cause some problems. Giant e.g. consider withdrawal of some types of bicycles because clients could not accept higher prices.
Total volume of bicycles' production in Poland is 400 million every year. In 2004 was produced more than 1,57 million. 534 thousand of them were exported. Poland/Enterprises/
