Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – On Tuesday, the WIG20 index rose 0.68 percent to 1904.46. Since November 24th when the index fell to its lowest level till last Thursday, the WIG20 added over 6 percent. The falls noted on Friday and Monday amounted to 0.8 percent only. It is possible that further decreases are observed on the stock exchange.
The IPO of TVN television at first did not drag the whole market. The demand for other shares started in the afternoon. Banks including Pekao started gaining. PKO BP further strengthened at the level above PLN 25 (EUR 5.9) and ended the day at PLN 25.9, its new record. KGHM copper producer did not grow much although the price of copper on the London exchange increased. PKN Orlen fuel giant shed 1 percent. Shares of blue chips worth PLN 380 million changed hands, the majority traded by TVN stock.
