Companies all over the country are looking for investors.
“There are three reasons: bearish market, worldwide recession and more difficult access to credit. That’s why companies will look for alternative forms of investing”, Krzysztof Kulig, Innova Capital partner explained.
He admits that more people appear in his company looking for funds.
Some funds invest in start-ups, including BBI Capital which has a special company BBI Seed investing PLN 1-1.5m (EUR 282,000-423,000). Every fund has its own sectors of focus.
“Innovation, infrastructure and IT are relatively safe branches. Real estate and financial sectors as well as exporters and business services will be most susceptible to recession”, Tomasz Czechowicz from MCI Management said.
Other private equity funds looking for opportunities today include Enterprise Investors, Advent International, Capital Partners, AKJ Capital, Riverside, Societe Generale Asset Management Eastern Europe, Penta Investments and EQT which has recently launched its Polish office.
