Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The WIG20 index ended 0.50 percent up at 2,619.05 points. However, the very low volume of trade amounting to PLN 819m can be a sign that the rebound will not change into a trend.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The WIG20 index ended 0.50 percent up at 2,619.05 points. However, the very low volume of trade amounting to PLN 819m can be a sign that the rebound will not change into a trend.

Concerning the negative elements today, including the demission of the Minister of Finance Zyta Gilowska, the market was strong. A week ago the same information would cause 3-4 percent decrease. Nevertheless, the indices may fall and the 20 share blue chips index may again reach the bottom of 2,536 points.

Today, Boryszew was the only blue chips to fall more than 2 percent – the stock ended 2.33 percent down. Among the best performers there were BRE Bank (5.14 percent), Bioton insulin producer (4.22 percent), Orbis hotel operator (1.4 percent), Kety (1.61 percent) and Bank BPH (2.3 percent). On Friday, none company rose or fell by more than 10 percent – a very rare thing on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
