Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The WIG20 index ended 0.94 percent lower today. Media companies, including TVN and Agora were among the worst performers. TVN fell over 3 percent. Agora is falling due to investors’ fears concerning its fourth quarter results, which will be burdened with costs of launching a new newspaper. Moreover, Friday was the last day of buy-back. KGHM copper producer shed 2 percent after it had reached its all-time record on Friday. The company will this year acquire shares of its subsidiary Telefonia Dialog telecom worth PLN 479.8m (EUR 124.7m).

Telecoms were doing relatively well. TP rose 0.9 percent after Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein published ‘buy’ recommendation with target price of PLN 28.5. Today, shares ended PLN 23.4. Netia was even better and ended 2.6 percent up. Investors hope a foreign investor will acquire the telecom.
