Lada to assemble in Poland
Lada Polska has announced that it will be begin assembly operations for commercial vehicles this summer in the Starachowice special economic zone. Lada has guaranteed the zone an investment of EUR1m although it claims that this sum will certainly be exceeded. The investment is being funded from its own funds and those of other shareholders in the SUW company.
GAZ delivery vehicles and UAZ four wheel drive models will be assembled here. This year 1,000 units of each type will be produced. Lada also hopes to open a factory producing parts at Starachowice.
